I went onto the sand spit and there were lots of knot, dunlin, sanderling, curlew I sat there for about an hour just watching the waders. There were lots of skylarks about and I managed to snap one in flight

also there were a group of shellduck that took up

a couple of other pictures from the day

Some cracking photos there, Colin. I've not been there since last summer but 'Gib' is one of my favourite places to visit.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Col. I have never been to Gib - maybe one day!You seem to be expanding your horizon's, which is good and should get you some good birds!
ReplyDeleteIm loving it Kev. I can see why Gib is your favorite place Dave , I dont think I got the best out of it as I was just wandering. I got into the dunes where i had close contact with curlew and oyster catcher and then I got onto the spit where there were 1000's of waders I was unable to id as I need to get a scope
